Do Cavapoos shed a lot?

Cavapoos don’t shed a lot. In fact, thanks to their lineage, Cavapoos barely shed at all. Their parents, the Poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, are some of the lowest shedding dogs.

Cavapoos with stronger Cavalier King Charles Spaniel genes might shed slightly more than those with stronger Poodle genes, but even then, will be extremely low-shedding.

A Cavapoo’s fur will continue to grow, but as long as it’s groomed and brushed regularly, the breed is highly unlikely to shed. For this reason, Cavapoos are considered hypoallergenic, and are an excellent choice of dog for people with allergies.
