Why does my Cavapoo smell?

There are several possible reasons why your Cavapoo smells, including:

  • Lack of grooming or bathing
  • Flatulence
  • Ear infection
  • Skin infection
  • Parasites, wounds, or allergies on skin
  • Oral health issues
  • Dehydration
  • Diet issues
  • Full or compacted anal glands

A Cavapoo generally has a low odor. So, if your pup smells, it’s likely because their fur has gotten too long that dirt gets trapped inside. Usually, regular grooming and bathing will fix this issue.

But if your Cavapoo still smells even after getting their regular brushing and baths, check for other underlying issues, such as infections and allergies. If necessary, schedule a visit to the vet.
