You should bathe your Australian labradoodle every 4–6 weeks. This will keep its coat clean and matt-free between trips to the groomers.
However, if your dog has been swimming or playing in mud, it’s fine to bathe it more often.
Choose a good-quality dog shampoo and conditioner, and allow the coat to dry before brushing. This will avoid breaking the hair, which becomes elastic when wet.
